The Cabernet Sauvignon harvested from this vintage is a fantastic example of a Bordeaux style blend hitting all the right notes. Seamless with black and blue fruits, great floral notes, structural silky tannins working in harmony for a long, balanced finish.
86% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Cabernet Franc, 4% Merlot, 2% Malbec, 2% Petit Verdot
Our 2012 Mt. Brave Merlot has ripe boysenberry aromas and flavors layered with notes of Asian spice. This wine is rich in fruit and balanced by structure, minerality and acidity for a mouthwatering finish.
The 2021 Mt. Brave Single Block Cabernet Sauvignon reveals exquisite layers of bright blueberry, cool graphite, and a hint of lavender. The wet stone minerality is framed by mouthwatering acidity and chewy tannins, driving to a persistent finish.
"The 2022 Mt. Brave Cabernet Franc bursts with vibrant strawberry-rhubarb pie, a whisper of pine resin, and beautiful tannins that integrate seamlessly with the red fruit and delicate floral notes."

Good winter rains at the end of 2021 and beginning of 2022 broke a three-year drought. A moderate spring followed. Summer weather was stable up until a very intense Labor Day heatwave—which was somewhat mitigated by mountain air in our estate vineyards. Light rains arrived mid-September. We harvested the Cabernet Franc on September 13 and the Zinfandel on September 21.
"The 2022 Mt. Brave Malbec delivers bold blueberry and strawberry compote to the midpalate, lifted by natural acidity and framed by robust tannins. Hints of toast, white pepper, and sage add layers of intrigue to this powerful mountain Malbec."
