The 2022 Restricted Proprietary White Wine is a radiantly aromatic and fresh blend of seven grape varieties by winemaker Gianna Ghilarducci who sourced the seven varieties from five American Viticultural Areas (AVAs) across Northern California. To commemorate our first-ever white wine for Restricted, we're offering this new release to Mt. Brave enthusiasts for a limited time.
THE WINE
The inspiration behind this wine was to explore often underappreciated varieties and show how the whole can be greater than the sum of the parts. Each variety plays a different role: Pinot Blanc-the structural spine of the wine, Sauvignon Blanc-lifts the aromatics, Albariño-adds salinity, Grenache Gris-imparts acidity and energy, Chenin Blanc-provides aromatic complexity, Marsanne and Roussanne-adds palate weight. The result is a distinctly full expression.
