The wines of Mt. Brave
The Mt. Brave Cabernet Sauvignon is meant to show all that is Mt. Veeder without overt tannins and the 2014 is a great example of that proposition. Black and red berry characters with hints of herb, Asian spice, espresso and toast combine with floral notes, weight and a wonderful finish.
Flavors of dark chocolate and boysenberry, with great acidity and structure lift this wine on your palate. The long, steady finish exhibits why mountain Merlot stands alone.
Aromas of rose petal and rhubarb mingle with huckleberry, raspberry, and hints of coffee on the palate to create a lush middle body and a juicy finish.
With only one acre of Zinfandel planted on the Mt. Brave vineyard, this wine proudly showcases its Mt. Veeder mountain characteristics. On the palate, notes perfectly ripe raspberry and strawberry give way to classic Zinfandel pepper and a minerality that is unique to Mt. Veeder. This wine demonstrates great depth and structure.
The unique terroir of our high elevation Mt. Brave vineyard creates distinct concentrated flavors of baked black cherry and bay leaf for this Cabernet Franc. The typical Mt. Veeder acidity and tannin structure combine with subtle vanilla characters to produce a wine with lush characteristics and a long finish.
This hand-harvested, small-production Cabernet Sauvignon has notes of blueberry, cassis, light roast espresso, and floral notes. Fine minerality and mouth-filling tannins give way to a luxurious finish.
