The wines of Mt. Brave
Grown on the rocky slopes of Mt. Veeder, the 2019 Cabernet shows notes of black cherry, blueberry, and Asian spice. On the palate, the wine has a profound density of fruit that is structured by fine tannins while the perfectly balanced acidity elongates a long savory finish.
Incredibly focused and defined, the 100% Cabernet Franc showcases aromas of mulberry, Asian spice, black tea and graphite. Loaded with dense fruit and spice on the palate, the full-bodied wine has beautifully balanced acidity and ripe, uber-fine tannins. Stunning out of the gate, this wine should provide cellaring rewards for years to come.
Grown in a vineyard block surrounded by dense forest, this Merlot truly reflects the terroir of Mt. Veeder. Both rich and delicate, the wine displays aromas of blackberry, rose petal and graphite. Balanced acidity gives the Merlot a nice pop, prolonging the intensely flavorful finish.

Introducing the very first white wine under the Restricted label. The 2022 Restricted Proprietary White Wine is a radiantly aromatic and fresh blend of seven grape varieties by winemaker Gianna Ghilarducci who sourced the seven varieties from five American Viticultural Areas (AVAs) across Northern California. To commemorate our first-ever white wine for Restricted, we're offering this new release to Mt. Brave enthusiasts for a limited time.
The inspiration behind this wine was to explore often underappreciated varieties and show how the whole can be greater than the sum of the parts. Each variety plays a different role: Pinot Blanc-the structural spine of the wine, Sauvignon Blanc-lifts the aromatics, Albariño-adds salinity, Grenache Gris-imparts acidity and energy, Chenin Blanc-provides aromatic complexity, Marsanne and Roussanne-adds palate weight. The result is a distinctly full expression.
